Counter-Strike 1.6 - PUGs
About CS 1.6 PUGs
We currently do Legacy PUGs the 1st Saturday of the Month, as well as Regular 1.6 PUGs the 2nd Saturday of the Month! Head over our Discord server and follow the events to be notified when they start.
Counter-Strike is known to be one of the most influencal competitive game ever created, even 25 years after its original release. Various updates to the game, through different engines saw the light of day, but 1.6 is still being actively played by the community due to its easy to play, hard to master mechanics.
Settings
- Players can ask for full team randomization, or by having team captains before a match starts.
- Any team that wins 15 Rounds is the winner.
- Game settings follow the following rules used in competitive CS 1.6 :
- Starting Money: $800,
- Buy Time: 15 seconds
- Freeze Time: 9 seconds,
- Round Time: 1 minute 45 seconds,
- C4 Timer: 35 seconds,
- Flashlight: Allowed
- Fade to Black: Disabled.
- Since it's a PUG, Friendly Fire is disabled.
- Players can still Teamchat to their teammates once dead.
Legacy-exclusive changes
To make the Legacy PUGs more faithful, we didn't patch any bugs, quirks & exploits that were possible back then.
Please note that the Regular PUG server does fix these known issues.

FAQ
Can No-Steam releases connect to the PUG server?
NO. We only support legitimate clients for PUGs.
How can I sign-up for these events?
You don’t have to sign-up : first come, first served.
Optionally, if you’re a Discord user and would like to receive notifications for future games, you can join our Discord server and select the “Counter-Strike” role.
Can I reserve a slot in advance?
No. The first 10 players to join will get to play.
You can also jump in as soon as a slot opens up, even if the game is LIVE. Our past experience shows that people often dont keep their commitments. Overall, accommodating personal requests tends to create disorder and chaos. We believe that implementing an automated system for PUG management is the best way to ensure the most hassle free experience for the most people in the long run.
Are games recorded through HLTV? Do you share them after the matches?
Yes! The links to get the demos will be shared on Discord sometime after the last game.
I suspect someone was a bit too random but knew everything about the game that he might have been cheating. What can I do?
Please write to us on Discord. We’ll look into the specific HLTV demo and check any abnormal behaviour. We’ll take action if we can confirm such anti-sportsmanship behaviour, as written on our community rules.
I want to join the event with a friend. Can you ensure we’re on the same team?
No. Again, we believe that accommodating individual requests like this can bring more problems than benefits.
If teams are formed by captains and one of you becomes a captain, you can choose the other as a teammate. If the selection is random, you might get lucky and end up together. The best advice is to encourage others to use the captain method for the team arrangement and then try to convince them to pick both of you. In other words, while we wont guarantee it, you can take steps to increase your chances.
Do you accept all skill levels?
Of course, but we still strongly advise you to be at least slighlty familiar with the original CS 1.6 mechanics and movements to enjoy your experience best.
Will you include these unique maps from Counter-Strike Online/Nexon Studio?
Most likely, at least for the exclusive maps! This is currently on our To-Do list.
